Eric Brody’s 3-pointer with two seconds left lifted Christian County to a 77-74 win over Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach, SC Friday at Scott County.
The 3-pointer was Brody’s fifth of the night and capped a 20-point night. DaMikeon Mathis also had 20 points for the Colonels, who shot 55-percent from the field and knocked down eight 3-pointers.
Christian Academy stayed close the Colonels by shooting 56-percent from the field and hitting 26-of-28 at the free throw line. The Colonels were 5-of-11 at the charity stripe.
The Colonel defense proved to be the difference as they scored 30 points off 20 Saints turnovers. Fred Tandy added 15 points and six steals, and Shay Stowe contributed nine points and four rebounds.
Christian County (10-11) will play Wayne County (15-4) Saturday in the consolation final of the Toyota Classic in Georgetown.
