Franklin-Simpson overcame a double-digit deficit in the second half to force overtime and went on to knock off Todd County Central’s girls 61-58 Friday to spoil Homecoming night in Elkton.
The Lady Wildcats (5-18) rallied from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to knot things at 52-52 and set up an additional 4 minutes.
Kate Norwood and Hadley Turner each had four points in OT as Franklin outscored the Lady Rebels 9-6 in the extra period.
Norwood finished the night with 22 points while Turner had 20. CeCe Carver added 12 for Franklin.
Todd, now 3-13, got a game-high 23 points from Amy Brumfield. Paige Rager scored 12 points and Emoni Forte added eight.
Todd led the game 11-5 after one quarter but saw Franklin edge ahead 22-20 at halftime.
The Lady Rebels used an 18-6 advantage in the third quarter to go up 38-28 before Franklin rallied late to send the game to overtime.
Todd Central’s girls will visit Barren County (18-3) on Saturday.
