A strong third quarter and balanced scoring helped Heritage Christian Academy snap a three-game losing streak as the Lady Warriors downed Somerset Christian 47-21 Saturday.
Chelsea Dortch scored five points in both the first and second quarters on her way to a game-high 12 points. She also had six rebounds and four steals.
Kinley Deason added 10 points, and Abbi Bullock had a solid night with eight points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
HCA jumped out to a 10-6 first quarter lead and extended it to 26-14 at halftime. They used a 12-3 third quarter run to put the game out of reach and pick up their fourth KCAA win of the season.
Heritage Christian Academy improved to 7-8 on the season and will host Bethel Christian Tuesday in a KCAA Region One contest at Warrior Gym.
