If it could go wrong for the Todd County Central boys’ basketball team in the first half of its 13th-District matchup with visiting Logan County, it did. However, a different Rebel team emerged from the locker room after halftime. Trailing by 27 points starting the third quarter, the Rebels outscored the Cougars 46-29 and cut the margin to 5, before falling 80-70.
Afterward, Coach Frank Johnson lamented his team’s first-half performance, and revealed what was fit to share about his halftime message that fired up the Rebels for the second half.
