The Tiger Wrestling Club, based in Caldwell County, placed 11th out of 30 teams at the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament in Louisville on Saturday.
The Tigers totaled 67.5 points. McCracken County won the team title with 182 points. Union County was third with 133.5.
Timothy Nichols was the top individual finisher for the Tigers with a third-place showing at 92 pounds. Nichols dropped his first match of the day, but came back to win five straight, including a 6-4 decision in the third-place match.
The Tigers had a pair of fifth-place finishers — Logan Brown at 75 and Collin Teutsch at 86.
Cole Sherill placed sixth at 168.
The Tiger Wrestling Club had eight wrestlers at the state meet, including Cale Goodwin at 80, Cofy Harris at 105, Blaine Hicks at 121 and Jaxon Towery at 152.
