Lyon County’s basketball teams will be the No. 1 seeds at the Fifth District Basketball Tournaments that begin Feb. 18 at Livingston Central High School.
Lyon, Trigg County, and Crittenden County all finished tied with identical 4-2 district marks in the girls’ standings. A three-way coin toss was held, and on the fourth try Lyon County had the odd result of the three which gave them the No. 1 seed. The Lady Lyons will play No. 4 seed Livingston Central Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6pm.
Trigg County is the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 seed and defending district champion Crittenden County that same night at 7:30. The girls’ championship will be Friday, Feb. 22 at 6:30.
On the boys’ side, Trigg County lost a coin toss with Crittenden County to determine who plays No. 1 seed Lyon County. Trigg will be the No. 4 seed and will face the Lyons Monday, Feb. 18 at 6pm. The 7:30 nightcap has No. 2 seed Livingston Central playing No. 3 seed and defending district champion Crittenden County. The boys’ championship will be Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6:30.
