The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors ran into double trouble at Northside Christian on Thursday night, falling victim to 40 combined points from the Royals’ Jed and Jake Myskowski to lose 56-50.

Gavin Fowler scored 7 first-quarter points for the Warriors, but was outdone by Jed Myskowski with 8, and the Royals led by 3 after the first 8 minutes.  Both teams scored 11 in the second quarter, and Northside took a 27-24 lead into halftime.

Austin Crawford took on the scoring load for the Warriors in the third, knocking down two 3-pointers on the way to 8 points.  Dalton Folz added 6, but HCA still trailed by a basket heading to the fourth quarter.

Folz scored 6 more in the fourth, but didn’t get much help as the Warriors only managed 9 over the final 8 minutes.  Jed Myskowski went 4-4 from the free throw line down the stretch to help Northside seal the win.

Jed Myskowski’s 21 led all scorers, followed for the Royals by Jake Myskowski with 19.

Folz finished with a double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Warriors, followed by Crawford with 11, and Fowler with 9.
