The pairings have been announced for the 8th District Basketball Tournament that begins Monday. University Heights Academy is the host of the tournament with games to be played at Christian County High School.
The ladies will begin play Monday. At 6pm, top seed Christian County (15-10) will play Fort Campbell (0-24). The 7:30 nightcap has two seed Hopkinsville (15-13) playing three seed University Heights Academy (13-12).
Monday’s winners play in the Thursday championship game at 6pm.
For the guys, play begins Tuesday with top seed University Heights Academy (25-4) playing Fort Campbell (5-18) at 6pm. The 7:30 nightcap features two seed Hopkinsville (15-10) and three seed Christian County (13-14).
The boys’ championship game will be Thursday at 8pm.
The winners and runners-up advance to the Second Region Tournament. The boys’ tournament begins Feb. 25 at Madisonville, with Crittenden County hosting the girls’ tournament with games there scheduled to begin Feb. 27.
