On Thursday night, the UHA Blazers did something the program had only done once previously, capturing their second-straight 8th-District title with a 64-49 win over Christian County. The Blazers also won back-to-back titles in the 1994 and ’95 seasons.
After the Blazers cut down the net in Lyle Dunbar Gym, Coach Grant Shouse said he knew the Colonels would be a tough out, and pointed to the play of senior TaQuan Hollowell as a big reason for the victory.
