The Christian County Lady Colonels were playing for the first time in a week on Thursday night, and the rust showed as they went scoreless for the first 4 minutes of the game against Lyon County. Behind 15 points each from Aaliyah Hampton and Trinity McGee, the Lady Colonels were eventually able to pull away for a 50-39 win to book their place in the 2nd Region semifinals against defending champion Webster County.
After the game, Coach Kiki Radford talked about the slow start, the emergence of Trinity McGee as a 3-point threat, and the benefits of a difficult game before the semifinal match-up with the Lady Trojans.
