Trigg County senior linebacker Austin Mitchell will be able to continue his football career after committing to Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. He told YourSportsEdge.com Tuesday afternoon of his decision.
Mitchell was an All-Western Kentucky Conference selection after collecting 73 tackles from his linebacker position, 20 of those for loss. He had made several college visits before picking Kentucky Wesleyan.
Mitchell closed out his Trigg County athletic career Saturday by winning an individual state championship at the Kentucky State Powerlifting Meet.
