Christian Fellowship Takes Two from Lady Falcons

A tough night for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Friday night. The Lady Falcons went on the road and dropped a pair to Christian Fellowship. The Lady Eagles won the opening game of the night 12-2 in five innings, and then came back to complete the doubleheader sweep with a 17-1 four inning win in the nightcap.

In the first game, Christian Fellowship took advantage of two walks, two hit batters, and a Lady Falcon error to take a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The lead grew to 5-0 in the 2nd inning thanks to two more walks and a double.

Fort Campbell cut into the lead on back to back doubles in the top of the 4th inning from Zoe Loveall and Cadie Suding to make it a 5-2 game.

Christian Fellowship effective put the game away in the bottom of the inning, using three walks and a dropped third strike to help come up with a five run inning to blow the lead out to 10-2. The Lady Eagles then scored two more in the bottom of the 5th inning to end the game.

Suding was 1-2 for the Lady Falcons with a double and 2 RBI’s. Emma Kaack was 2-3 with a run scored. Zoe Loveall was 1-3 with a double and a run scored.

In the second game of the evening, Christian Fellowship scored five runs in the bottom of the first inign and cruised to the 16 run win.

Fort Campbell actually led the game after the top of the 1st. The Lady Falcons used doubles from Emma Kaack and Cadie Suding to take a 1-0 lead.

However, Christian Fellowship scored five in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-1 lead, and complete control of the game. The Lady Eagles added a run in the bottom of the 2nd, a run in the bottom of the 3rd, and then ended the game with ten runs in the bottom of the 4th. Christian Fellowship was able to take full advantage of 12 walks and two hit batters handed out by Fort Campbell pitching.

The two losses drop the Lady Falcons to 0-4 on the season.
