Hopkinsville All-Region guard James Nicholas has committed to continue his basketball career at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. Nicholas made the announcement Tuesday morning on his Twitter page.
Nicholas averaged 14.2 points and three rebounds for the Tigers during his senior season and was named All-District and All-Region. He shot 44-percent from the field and 36-percent from 3-point range. As a junior, he averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.
Cumberland University is an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference. The Phoenix were 11-15 last year, including a 4-10 mark in conference play.
