Christian County junior Bryson Brown was handed a daunting task in his first varsity pitching start on Tuesday, to try to contain a Logan County offense averaging over 15 runs a game in its last 7 games, including a 24-run explosion Monday night against Henderson County.
Brown was up to the task, pitching 6.0 innings while allowing only 4 runs, 2 earned, and striking out two.
Afterward, he spoke about knowing what he was getting into against the Cougars, and what he had working on the mound in the Colonels’ 6-2 loss.
