The Lyon County Lady Lyons appear to be getting things on a bit of a roll. Behind a spectacular pitching peformance from Kaelyn Conger, the Lady Lyons picked up their fourth win in a row Saturday morning, shutting out Frankin, Tennessee 2-0 in the Brentwood Invitational.
Conger gave up only five hits in the five inning game, striking out five and walking none.
Lyon County got to the lead in the bottom of the first inning. Calista Collins blasted a shot to right field to put the Lady Lyons up 1-0 after one complete.
The Lady Lyons added some insurance in the bottom of the 4th inning. Sydney Melton scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Conger to extend the lead to 2-0.
Calista Collins went 2-3, with a home run, an RBI, and a run scored. Conger was 1-2 with an RBI. Sydney Melton went 1-2, with a walk, and a run scored.
