A tough start to the day Saturday in Murray for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons. Murray scored in each of its three at bats on their way to a 16-0 three inning win over the Lady Falcons.
Murray batters pounded out 14 hits over those three innings. The Lady Tigers were also aided by Fort Campbell pitching woes, as the Lady Falcons gave up six walks.
Murray scored seven runs in the first inning, seven more in the second, and then capped it off with two runs in the top of the third inning.
Emma Kaack and Ema-lee Montalvo came up with the two hits for Fort Campbell. Montalvo singled in the bottom of the 2nd inning, while Kaack singled in the bottom of the third.
Hannah Carbaugh pitched all three innings for Fort Campbell, giving up 16 runs, on 14 hits, striking out seven, while walking six.
