Former Christian County Colonel Taivey Mason has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II First Team All-American Team. Mason plays for Highland College in Kansas and helped the Scotties to a 28-3 record and a share of the Division II title.
Mason averaged 20.5 points a game and shot 56-percent from the field, including 36-percent from 3-point range. He also led the Scotties in assists (3.1) and steals (2.5).
Mason concluded his sophomore season as the Kansas Junior College Player of the Year in addition to passing 1,000 points for his career. He finishes his career third all-time in school history in career assists and fourth all-time in school history in career steals.
