Hopkinsville senior basketball player Jayla Rose has committed to continue her basketball career at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois. Rose made the announcement on social media over the weekend.
Rose was a two-year member of the All-District and All-Region team at Hopkinsville. She averaged 15 points and 7.3 rebounds as a senior while shooting 46-percent from the field. As a junior, she scored 16 points a game and pulled down 7.6 rebounds.
Shawnee is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and is coming off a 6-19 season.
