The Todd County Central softball team couldn’t solve Franklin-Simpson pitcher Madison Davis on Tuesday night in Elkton, failing to find a base-hit in a 9-0 loss to the visiting Lady Wildcats. The Lady Rebels drop their second-straight to slip to 2-6 overall, while Franklin-Simpson improves to 8-7.
Maddie Williams took the loss for the Lady Rebels, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits with a walk and 3 strikeouts. Hayley Vass pitched two innings, allowing 5 runs, only 1 earned, on 3 hits with a walk and 2 strikeouts.
Davis struck-out 10 and walked 3 for the victory. Gracie Arnemann and Lexi Holleman led the Lady Wildcats at the plate, going 3-4 and 2-3, respectively, with 2 RBI each.
The Lady Rebels return to the field on Thursday, with the 4-10 Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs making the trip to Elkton.
