Kenwood Overcomes Early Deficit to Down Falcons 8-5

Fort Campbell saw a 4-2 lead slip away as visiting Kenwood rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to down the Falcons 8-5 in baseball action on Wednesday.
The Falcons (1-7) scored twice in each of the first and third innings to grab their two-run lead against the Clarksville school.
In the bottom of the first, Tyler MacKay singled and Matthew Middleton doubled to start the frame. Pinch runner Nathan Taylor and Middleton later scored on wild pitches to put Fort Campbell up 2-1.
Middelton and Greysen Meyer each singled and scored in the bottom of the third to give Fort Campbell its 4-2 advantage.
Kenwood (2-11) scored once in the fourth to get within 4-3, then used its big inning in the sixth to grab the lead. Jalen Williams doubled home two runs to put the Knights up 7-4.
Each team scored once in the seventh to make it 8-5.
Middleton was 2-for-3 at the plate and scored three times for the Falcons. Kevin Rhodd was 2-for-3 with an RBI while MacKay and Meyer each went 2-for-4.
Donovan Moss led the Kenwood offense with a 4-for-5 performance and an RBI. Williams was 2-for-4 and knocked in two.
Moss was also the winning pitcher for the Knights, tossing the first six innings and allowing four earned runs on 10 hits.
