
Christian County’s Aaliyah Hampton wrapped up a stellar high-school career with an emotional loss to Webster County in the 2nd Region tournament just over a month ago, and on Friday she made the next phase of her academic and athletic careers official. In front of family, friends and teammates, she signed with Berea College, joining a Mountaineers team coming off a 22-6 record and a runner-up finish in the USA South conference tournament.
Here are Hampton’s thoughts on her decision, and what will stick with her from her time as a Lady Colonel basketball player.
