Trenton Hayes and Weston Powell combined on a one-hitter as Heritage Christian Academy remained unbeaten in KCAA play with a 16-0 win at AIE Thursday in Louisville.
The Warrior duo combined to strike out 10 batters and issue just three walks in the contest. Hayes, who picked up the win, fanned six and allowed the hit.
Josh Jones had three hits at the plate, including two doubles, and drove in two runs. Elijah Britton also had three hits and drove in two runs as part of the 13-hit day for HCA. Hayes contributed a pair of hits, and Andrew Gentry smacked a double.
HCA improved to 12-4 overall and remain unbeaten in conference play. The Warriors entered the week as the No. 1 team in the KCAA.
Heritage Christian returns to action Tuesday when they play Community Christian in Bowling Green.
