Emma Talley has moved into the Top 10 entering the third round of the Lotte Championship in Hawaii.
The Caldwell County native carded a 4-under-par 68 on Thursday in the second round and is 7-under after 36 holes. That leaves her tied for eighth place in this week’s LPGA event.
Talley opened Thursday’s round with an eagle on the par-5 1st hole. She added four birdies later in the round but also had a pair of bogeys — the second coming on the 18th hole after getting to 8-under, which would have tied her for seventh place.
Eun-Hee Ji has taken the lead at the Lotte Championship at 15-under. First-round leader Nelly Korda is now in second place at 13-under. Korda is the only American in the field ahead of Talley.
The third round will be played Friday in Hawaii with the final round this week set for Saturday.
Talley will tee off at 4:41 p.m. Central time on Friday.
