Todd County High School has named Jeff Young as the school’s athletic director. He will take over the position from Marnie Broady, who will retire at the end of the school year.

Young is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of Louisville Male High School where he played varsity basketball, tennis, football, and track. He received his higher education from both Hopkinsville Community College and Western Kentucky University.

He has a background in athletics, serving as the assistant general manager of the ABA Kentucky Bisons, who won the ABA National Championship in 2009. During his tenure with the Bisons, Young gained valuable knowledge in the administrative aspects of an organization as well as international experience.

Young most recently served as an assistant coach with the Todd County boys’ basketball team.

“We are very happy to welcome Jeff Young to Todd County School District as our athletic director,” TCSD Superintendent Ed Oyler said in a release. “We are excited about his knowledge of the community and his willingness to invest in all local athletics. We believe that he will further contribute to and help build a program of athletic excellence in Todd County.”
