Hopkinsville’s Jayla Rose joined teammate Breon Oldham on Friday in signing to continue their basketball careers at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, IL.
Rose joins the Lady Saints after a senior season in which she was named to both the All-8th District and All-2nd Region teams. She was second on the team in both points and rebounds with 15 and 7.3, helping the Lady Tigers to a 17-16 season that ended with a loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins in the regional tournament.
After signing, Rose talked about her decision to attend Shawnee, and looks back on an injury that cut short her postseason with the Lady Tigers.
