Kyky Tandy of University Heights Academy and Jamarion Sharp of Hopkinsville have both been selected to the Kentucky senior all-star team that will play Indiana in the 79th annual series.
Tandy, an Xavier signee and USA Today Kentucky Player of the Year, was named the MVP of the Kentucky/Ohio All-Star game last week after a 30-point performance. Also named to the team were Gatorade Player of the Year Isiah Cozart of Madison Central; Louisville Courier-Journal player of the year David Johnson of Trinity; and Campbell County’s Reid Jolly, who Tandy played against in the 2018 Sweet 16.
Sharp, who signed with John A. Logan College last week, was selected to the team after a tryout in front of the team coaches and selection committee. It marks the second straight year a Hopkinsville High player has made the team. Jalen Johnson was an all-star last year.
Kentucky will play Indiana June 7th at Bellarmine University in Louisville, and June 8th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
