Host Falcons Excel at Coach Johnson Memorial Classic (w/PHOTOS)

The Fort Campbell boys dominated the jumping events at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic on Saturday at Fryar Stadium, taking second overall, while the girls did their damage on the track with top-three finishes in the 100M dash and 300M hurdles, as well at the 4×800 and 4×400 relays.

For the boys, Austin Keeling was his normal dominant self with top finishes in both the high jump (6-00.00) and triple jump (44-11.00), while Doryan Hall delivered a win in the long jump with a distance of 21-08.00.  Rafael Cerritos and Jhony Paniagua were the only pole vaulters present, reaching 10-09.00 and 8-09.00, respectively, for first and second.

The girls finished fourth overall, highlighted by a first-place showing in the 4x800M relay.  The team of Hope Garza, Lilliauna Powers, Xzaria Duncan and Caterina Martineau turned in a time of 10:56.58 to run away from second-place West Creek (11:32.67).  Dominique Burrell joined the group in the place of Garza to help them to a third-place finish in the 4x400M at 4:30.53.

Dextiana Morris ran an 18.45 in the 100M hurdles, good enough for second, while her sister Ty’Kevia took third in the 300M hurdles.  Jahlyn Mincey ran second in the 100M with a time of 13.24, just behind a 13.15 from Rossview’s Alecia Tennyson.

Angel Manalang topped Rossview’s Carlyle Coppins in the pole vault with a 7-03.00, while Emma Syester celebrated her senior day with a third-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 30-04.00.
