
The Todd County Central softball team was held to a single hit in a 13-0 Tuesday night road loss to 13th-District rival Franklin-Simpson, the second time this season the Lady Wildcats have shut out the Lady Rebels.
Todd County drops its fourth-straight to slip to 3-11, 0-5 in district play, while the Lady Wildcats are headed in the other direction with four-consecutive wins for a 14-9 record, 3-2 against district competition.
The Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first against Todd County starter Abigail McPhearson, highlighted by a 2-run inside-the-park home run by Caleigh Coats. Franklin-Simpson added 6 more in the bottom of the second and one in each of its next two at-bats for the final score.
Madison Davis earned the win for the Lady Wildcats, going all five innings and striking-out seven. Coats and Maddie Utley both finished 2-3 with 4 RBI.
