The Todd County Central Lady Rebels saw a two-game win streak come to an end on Friday night in Muhlenberg County, only managing a couple of hits in a 6-0 loss to the Lady Mustangs. With the loss, the Lady Rebels slip to 5-12 overall and will look to get back on track on Monday when they travel to Hopkinsville to face the UHA Lady Blazers. The Lady Mustangs win their fourth on the bounce to move to 12-15 on the year.
Muhlenberg wasted no time jumping out to a early lead, hanging 4 runs on Todd County starter Maddie Williams in the opening inning. The Lady Mustangs added a run in the second and another in the fourth, Williams’ last inning of work in the circle.
Abigail McPhearson relieved Williams in the fifth, holding the Lady Mustangs in check over the final two frames with no hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
Emma Rose went the distance for Muhlenberg, allowing only 2 hits with a walk and 6 strikeouts. Alyssa Brewer led the Lady Mustangs at the plate, finishing 2-3 with 2 runs driven-in.
