Hopkinsville led Logan County 2-0 after their second at bat, but the Lady Cougars flexed their muscles for the final 14 runs of the game in a 14-2 triumph Monday in Russellville.
Morgan Hodge and Marley Hancock led off the second inning with singles. After a groundout, they scored on Karenna Chaudoin’s single to right field.
Logan County answered with seven runs in the third inning, highlighted Emerson Mckinnis’ two-run double, KJ Page’s RBI single, and Sydney Lee’s three-run home run.
Logan County (18-4) scored four times in the third inning and three more in the fourth inning.
McKinnis, Lee, and Brea Croslin each had two hits and three RBIs.
Hopkinsville (9-18) will host Henderson County Tuesday.
