The UHA girls enjoyed a strong showing on the track at the Marshall County Double Quad Tuesday night, with Muki Kunnmann taking the top spot in two events and Piper Hancock running first in the 800M. The girls finished 3rd overall, while the boys ended up 6th behind 1st-place performances in the 100 and 400M by Isiah Pantiere.
Kunnmann won both the 1600 and 3200M with times of 5:57.15 and 12:37.48, respectively. She also ran 3rd in the 800M, with teammate Piper Hancock winning with a time of 2:35.07. Lily Hendricks finished 2nd in the 100M with a 13.76 and Evelyn Morales posted a 27.58 in the 200M, good enough for 2nd, while also coming in 3rd in the 400M behind teammate Meghan Adams’ 2nd-place time of 1:02.79.
For the boys, Pantiere posted 1st-place times of 11.12 in the 100M and 50.82 in the 400M, while Walter Kunnmann finished 2nd in the 3200M with a 11:19.17. Connor Dill turned in a 2nd-place performance in the 300M hurdles with a 43.22.
The boys’ relay team also finished 2nd in the 4×400, finishing behind Marshall County with a 3:49.13.
