The Fort Campbell softball team couldn’t keep up with visiting Christian Fellowship on Friday night, falling in both games of a doubleheader by scores of 13-3 and 18-0. The Lady Falcons have lost all four meetings this season with the Lady Eagles to slip to 2-18 on the year, while Christian Fellowship improves to 13-15 overall.
In the opener, The Lady Eagles used a seven-run first inning to take control of the game and led 10-0 before the Lady Falcons broke through in the bottom of the fourth. Cadence Suding led off the inning with a double and came home on a double by Julie Curney, before Danielle Houston stole home for Fort Campbell’s third run.
Houston took the loss on the mound for the Lady Falcons, pitching all six innings and allowing fifteen hits with four walks and two strikeouts.
Jaycie Jackson earned the win for Christian Fellowship, giving up three earned runs on eight hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. Jayden Jackson had two hits and three RBI and Renee Shields was 3-4 with two runs driven-in.
It was more of the same in the second game, with the Lady Eagles putting it away with thirteen first-inning runs. They would add four in the second and the final run in the third, while Jackson held the Lady Falcons to four hits and no runs.
Jayden Jackson and Zailey McClain led the Lady Eagles with two hits and two RBI each.
Houston took the loss again, yielding thirteen runs on eight hits with eight walks in an inning of work.
