After pushing a run across in each of the first two innings on Monday night against visiting Warren Central, the Todd County Central baseball team could only manage a couple of hits the rest of the way in an 8-2 loss to the Dragons.

The Rebels drop their second-straight to slip to 5-9 overall, while Warren Central wins its second in a row after an eleven-game losing streak to move to 7-20 on the year.

The Rebels got back-to-back singles by Tanner Farmer and Dylan Hurt and Austin Rager came home on an error to tie the game at 1-1 after the first.  Todd County moved ahead on an RBI by Gavyn Nolan in the second inning, but Dragons’ pitcher Jordan Miller would hold the Rebels in check for the remainder of the game.

After tying the game in the third, Warren Central used a three-run fourth to take the lead for good.

Clayte Weathers took the loss for the Rebels, working 3.1 innings while allowing five runs, three earned, with three walks and four strikeouts.  Rager was the only Rebel with multiple hits, finishing 2-3 at the plate.

Miller earned the win, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts.  Noah Thomas was 2-5 with two RBI for the Dragons, followed by Jerry Adams with a hit and two runs driven-in.
