If you go to the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud here count on two things — you will laugh a lot and you will eat a lot.
First, the food. I’m not sure I have been to a dinner show with food that I enjoy more. The fried chicken is pure gold and there is so much of it. Of course, if you want more, just ask because it is an all-you-can-eat meal. The pork BBQ is great, too.
My grandchildren are big fans of the mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and homemade bread (we requested two extra baskets because two of my grandsons both ate three rolls). The kids would not try the cole slaw, so I ate a lot.
They were all fans of having the food served in buckets.
The show is always entertaining as the Hatfields and McCoys try ways to settle the long-standing feud. My grandchildren like that the Hatfield girls “kicked butt” against the McCoy boys. But all the singing and dancing had them clapping their hands.
The addition of the water stunts was terrific. The diving is really fun to watch and requires some unique talent.
Of course, my grandkids were happy before the show started. We looked at the goats, rabbits, chickens and pig outside and then they were all invited along with any child under 10 on stage to perform/dance. Their smiles on stage were priceless.
It’s just a fun night for a family or anyone else. You just get to eat, laugh and have fun for about two hours, so what’s not to like.
