When most people think about the 2019 Christian County baseball team, images of hitters like Wyatt Stevenson and Jase Polley crushing balls to all parts of the field probably come to mind. But after Polley collected 4 RBI in the Colonels’ 11-7 victory over Hopkinsville in the 8th-District championship game on Tuesday night, he pointed to a more subtle facet of the team’s attack as something they can always count on.
