Henderson County starting pitcher Sam Elliott seemed to be in complete control of Tuesday night’s semifinal match-up with Hopkinsville, remaining perfect through the first three frames and taking a 2-0 lead into the fourth.
However, The Tigers got started when Ryan Myers drew a walk to start the inning, Caleb Bapp followed with a single, and Layne Jorgensen came through with a 2-run double to tie the game. After Elliott hit the Tigers’ John Duvall to put runners on first and second, he was forced to the bench, going from perfect to out of the game in four batters.
Watch as Jorgensen provides the breakthrough that would eventually lead to a 7-3 victory in the this Max’s Moment.
