
The Hopkinsville baseball team dropped its last five regular-season games before falling 11-7 to Christian County in the 8th-District title game. The Tigers seemed down and out after the loss to the Colonels, but have since righted the ship with wins over Madisonville-North Hopkins and Henderson County in the 2nd-Region tournament, advancing to Wednesday’s title game against Caldwell County.
After the Tigers secured their first return to the region finale since 2015 with a 7-3 victory over Henderson, coach Blake Leach talked about how his team has battled through adversity to get to this point.
