Caldwell County may have lost the 2nd Region championship game to Hopkinsville on Thursday, but Caldwell head coach Bradley Stallins says his team played some of its best baseball of the season this past week.
After falling to Madisonville-North Hopkins in the 7th District final, Caldwell came back to pick up wins over Union County and Christian County at the regional tourney before bowing to Hoptown in the title tilt.
Caldwell finished the season with an 18-16 record.
