Hopkinsville High School senior Robert Justus started Thursday’s championship game behind the plate and ended it on the mound.
Justus picked up the save and was in the middle of the celebration following the final out in Hoptown’s 9-5 win over Caldwell County in the 2nd Region final.
Justus and the Tigers will return to Western Kentucky University on Saturday for sectional play against McCracken County.
Following Thursday’s win over Caldwell, Justus said capturing the 2nd Region championship was “amazing.”
