The Hopkinsville Tigers bounced back from a loss to Christian County in the 8th District title game to run through the 2nd Region tournament this week.
Hoptown (21-13) knocked off Madisonville-North Hopkins, Henderson County and Caldwell County on its way to the championship.
The Tigers will next face 1st Region champion McCracken County (30-7) in sectional action on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Western Kentucky University’s Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green.
Following Thursday’s regional finale against Caldwell, Hopkinsville head coach Blake Leach talked about his team’s run through the regional tournament.
