Lyon County has named Zach Thomas as their new high school athletic director. The school made the announcement Wednesday.
Thomas has served as assistant boys’ basketball coach for the Lyons as well as tennis coach. One of his first priorities will be to help in filling the boys’ basketball and boys’ soccer coaching positions.
He replaces Jeff Doom as athletic director. Doom, who was named the Second Region athletic director of the year in 2018-19, stepped down from his AD duties but will continue to serve as head coach of the Lady Lyon basketball program.
