Rager Finishes Second in Paducah, Retains Junior PGA Points Lead

Todd County Central senior Austin Rager finished second at the Kentucky Junior PGA stop in Paducah Wednesday.

Rager shot a 6-over 78 to finish one shot behind Richmond’s Warren Thomis on the Rolling Hills Country Club Course. Rager’s round included seven bogeys and a birdie.

After three events, Rager leads the statewide points race with 285 points. Ethan Fischer of London and Chase Carpenter of Russell Springs are tied for second place with 195 points. A player receives points for high finishes at Kentucky Junior PGA events.

In the nine-hole 11-12 division, Caldwell County’s Stephen Crick shot an 8-over 44 to finish in second place, three shots behind Calvert City’s Ryan Stokes.

Crick currently sits tied for fourth place in the Junior PGA point standings.
