Easton McGee’s appearance in the Midwest League All-Star Game Tuesday was a brief but effective one. The Bowling Green Hot Rods’ pitcher made an appearance in the eighth inning, threw three pitches, and induced a pop out.

The former Hopkinsville Mr. Baseball was one of eight players representing Bowling Green in the Class A All-Star Game in South Bend, Indiana. Hot Rods players competed on the East squad, which won the game on a tie-breaker. After a 3-3 tie at the end of the ninth inning, the East team won the tie-breaker in a home run hitting contest.

McGee is in his first season with the Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. He is 3-2 with a 3.88 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched.
