The schedule and teams for the inaugural Best of the West 7-on-7 hosted by the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department have been announced.
The two-day event begins Friday morning at the Stadium of Champions and will use the adjoining facilities to host the 20 teams.
The field includes 10 Kentucky schools, nine from Tennessee, and one from Indiana.
There will be two sets of pool play Friday that will determine the championship bracket to be played Saturday.
Christian County, Hopkinsville, Todd County Central, Trigg County, Madisonville, and Logan County are among the schools scheduled to participate.
Kona Ice of Hopkinsville and United States National Guard will both be on site during the tournament. Concessions will be available. Admission is $7 per day or $12 for a two-day weekend pass. Children 6 and under are admitted free.
