Lyon County boys’ head coach Michael Daily said his team has been trying to beat the heat by practicing early in the morning.
The Lyons are getting ready for the Paducah Tilghman Jamboree Aug. 1-3. Lyon’s varsity is scheduled to face Grayson County at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, and Paducah Tilghman at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
Lyon begins regular-season action on Monday, Aug. 12, at Murray.
Daily noted Thursday morning that he’s hoping his squad can slip up on some teams.
