Three area schools attended the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches Clinic on Saturday at Lexington Christian Academy.

Local staffs represented included Caldwell County, Christian County and Hopkinsville High School. Caldwell head coach Daniel Cortner is the KVCA president.

The clinic had 56 participants attend, learning updated drills and schemes, as well as the 2019 KHSAA Rules Clinic.

Guest speaker Kathy DeBoer, the American Volleyball Coaches Association president, spoke on the growth of the game and the status of volleyball across the United States.

KVCA secretary Brad Wilson offered updates on boys’ volleyball in Kentucky, which fielded three new teams last season in the Lexington area, with hopes of growing in 2019.
