Lyon County Post 68 won its second-straight American Legion state baseball championship on Saturday, knocking off the Owensboro Post 9 Bombers 13-3 in six innings.
For the second year in a row, Lyon County went a perfect 4-0 in the state tourney to capture the top prize.
Lyon County hosted the state tourney this week at Jim Boyd Field at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville.
The Post 68 Aces will next head to Charleston, Ill., for the American Legion Regional Tournament. That event is slated to be played Aug. 7-11.
