Heritage Christian Academy’s Rajah Mills has officially been “Knighted.”
Mills signed to play basketball at Kentucky Christian University on Saturday afternoon at HCA in Hopkinsville.
KCU is an NAIA institution. The Knights also compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association.
Kentucky Christian is located in Grayson, which is in eastern Kentucky, about 30 miles west of Ashland.
Mills has been the point guard for Heritage Christian each of the last two seasons, scoring around 12 points a game as a senior. He averaged 4.8 assists in 2018-19 for the Warriors, which was in the top five statewide for the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association.
The 5-foot-9 Mills was named to the KCAA All-State Tournament Team in the spring after helping lead the Warriors to a region title and appearance in the KCAA State Championship game.
Mills is the second Heritage Christian hoopster to ink to play college basketball. Teammate Gavin Fowler signed with Welch College last month.
Kentucky Christian loses just one senior from last year’s 5-25 season.
