The Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team picked up a pair of victories on Friday in preliminary pool play at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington.
Caldwell dispatched Whitley County 21-14, 21-18, then knocked off Thomas Nelson 21-16, 17-21, 16-14.
Teams have been reseeded for pool play on Saturday. Caldwell will play at Paul Dunbar High School in Lexington, facing Dunbar, Western Hills and Warren East. Action on Saturday begins at 9 a.m.
The Bluegrass State Games will conclude on Sunday.
