In a game that saw both team alternate goals from the start, Lyon County scored with four minutes left to edge Mayfield 4-3 Thursday in a girls’ soccer scrimmage at Paducah Tilghman.
Sophomore Rose Smith scored all four of Lyon’s goals, including the first goal six minutes into the game and the final one with less than four minutes left.
Lyon County, who was 12-4 last year, beat Mayfield twice during the 2018 regular season.
The Lady Lyons will scrimmage at Paducah Tilghman against the host Saturday at 6pm.
